The Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program provides fellowships for Master’s degree-level study to emerging leaders from Eurasia for study in the United States in the fields listed below.

The Muskie program provides fellows with intensive academic study and professional training in their chosen fields. In addition to their academic programs, Muskie fellows gain exposure to American values through community service activities and develop professional skills through a full-time internship in their field of study.

Eligibility Requirements:

The program is open to graduate students and professionals from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Muskie Fellows are enrolled in graduate degree, certificate and non degree programs in the United States lasting one to two academic years.

Eligible fields of study include: business administration, economics, education, environmental policy and management, international affairs, journalism and mass communication, law, library and information science, public administration, public health and public policy.
