Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund

The Office of Alumni Affairs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is pleased to announce the projects selected for funding for the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF).

Congratulations to all the teams selected for funding. The State Alumni Team and our colleagues throughout the U.S. Department of State who reviewed the proposals, were impressed by the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of your projects.

You can view the list of winners here.

Visit the State Alumni site for more information about the competition and the projects.

Selection of 38 winning projects from 683 submissions and 137 finalists was based on a review of the proposals from specialists, feedback from U.S. Missions abroad, voting from State Alumni website members, and a final evaluation by a U.S. Department of State review panel. Multiple factors were considered, including: the feasibility of the project within the time frame specified, appropriate budget items*, and how well a project met the proposed category. Not all project budgets will be funded at the amount requested. Modifications, which will be communicated to project leaders, were made to eliminate non-allowable items for funding, in response to changes in the project activities, or at the suggestion of the review panels.
