| Description
of Designated List Category Subject to Import Restrictions |
| Characterized by vessels with incised and modeled designs. Forms include cylinders, bowls and jars; forms may have pedestal supports. The exterior surface is usually burnished and polished. In color the exterior varies from a light brown to a dark orange-brown; the interior color is usually much darker than the exterior. This example shows an incised naturalistic frog form framed by modeled upper and lower circumferential borders. See Viel 1993. |
