Elaborate horse armor is also produced during the same period. Both launching weapons (spears and javelins) and weapons for hand to hand combat (swords, daggers, etc.) Approximate date: 8th c. B.C. to 4th c. A.D. This example is a cast, riveted bronze helmet. the moving parts are attached with a hinge. | |
