The Cultural Visitors Program provides opportunities for emerging international performing artists and arts managers to take part in training, mentoring and residency experiences in the United States.

Participants learn creative approaches to bolster their talents and management skills. They also gain a greater understanding of American society, culture and values while strengthening their home cultural institutions by fostering lasting relationships with American artists and artistic institutions.

Cultural Visitors Highlights

Actors relax during a rare break in their in-depth two-week program.
Power of Cultural Exchange
Through the Cultural Visitors program, eight actors from Colombia, Egypt, India, Nigeria, Syria, Thailand, Ukraine and Venezuela, who had never before met and did not share a common language, worked collaboratively to create a powerfully moving “devised” theater piece during breaks from their intensive two-week-long theater program in New York, Washington D.C., and New London, Conn.
