Traveling Exhibitions

Young Salvadoran musicians get into 24th Street Theater's workshop.

Young Salvadoran musicians get into 24th Street Theater's "Unmasking the Musician" workshop in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Presently, the Cultural Programs Division is sponsoring two major exhibition initiatives. Jam Session is a photographic exhibition of the Jazz Ambassadors program that sent American jazz greats around the globe from the mid-1950s through the 1970s. Picturing America features 40 reproductions of significant American art that showcase the United States’ artistic heritage.

The Cultural Programs Division also produces occasional poster series on selected topics in the arts or outstanding artistic personalities. These poster series are produced for use by U.S. Embassies around the world. Translated into major world languages, they are distributed to libraries, schools, performing arts centers, American Corners and Informational Resource Centers at U.S. Missions.
