As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, The Dina Preston Country and Western Band will bring country music to Azerbaijan. The musicians will present public performances and conduct student workshops in the cities of Baku, Ganja, and Lenkaran.

The Dina Preston Country and Western Band

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, The Dina Preston Country and Western Band will bring country music to Armenia. The musicians will present public performances and conduct student workshops in the cities of Yerevan, and Gyumri, as well as two Southern cities in Armenia.

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, the Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform in Ghana.

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, the Algiers Brass Band will play in Istanbul, Turkey.

In the Continuum

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, In the Continuum, an African-American theatre arts group will travel to South Africa to present performances, to conduct discussions and workshop activities on using the arts to address HIV/AIDS, and to conduct master classes with local theatre students and professionals

Bob Perilla and the Big Hillbilly Bluegrass Band

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, Bob Perilla and the Big Hillbilly Bluegrass Band will travel to the Kyrgyz Republic to present performances in Bishkek and the regional towns of Kant and Karakol. Also, the musicians will participate in informal meetings with students of local colleges.

June 25-30, 2007
The Yellow Bird Dancers
As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, The Yellow Bird Dancers, a Native-American dance troupe, will travel to El Salvador to present public performances and to conduct workshops in the cities of San Salvador, Santa Ana, and San Miguel.

Step Afrika!
As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, Step Afrika! will perform in Tokyo, Japan.

June 21-26, 2007
Bob Perilla and the Big Hillbilly Bluegrass Band

As part of the Performing Arts Initiative, Bob Perilla and the Big Hillbilly Bluegrass Band will travel to Tajikistan to present a performance at the Dushanbe International Music Festival and also to present performances in the cities of Kulob and Kurgen-Tepe. In addition, the group will conduct master classes for music conservatory students in all three cities.
