Subject: Understanding Muslim Life in the United States

This project is designed to improve the understanding of Muslim life in the United States for 24 Muslim scholars and clerics from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yemen who come to the U.S. in two groups for two weeks each. These groups are given access to the American Muslim communities in several cities, and they will be challenged not only to understand more clearly the reality of Muslim life in the U.S. but to work with American scholarly and religious leaders to break down inaccurate stereotypes about religious life in the participating countries.
