The School Connectivity Project for Southeast Europe

The School Connectivity Project for Southeast Europe promotes electronic education under the framework of a Stability Pact Initiative to develop the digital economy in Southeast Europe (SEE). This project enhances the use of information technologies in schools while promoting inter-ethnic dialogue among students from different SEE countries and generating personal and institutional ties among students, educators, and their schools. It also engages U.S. schools in multilateral linkages to promote mutual understanding and shared expertise. Through an open merit-based competition, high schools in participating countries are selected to receive computers and Internet connections. The program provides training and support for developing joint thematic projects on topics such as shared history and culture.

The project is administered by Catholic Relief Services.
