The popular hobby of knitting is the feature topic of this issue. A new section, Classroom Activities, offers three stand-alone activities related to the theme of knitting. Other articles discuss insights to help language learners, using The Simpsons in EFL classes, multilingualism as a resource in the language classroom, and integrating extensive reading with writing tasks.
Number 2
Fishing, a hobby for people of all ages, sets the theme for this issue. Among the three Classroom Activities is one on the genre of fish stories. Contributor articles explore promoting genre awareness in the EFL classroom, establishing textual authority and separating voices in referencing, and using blogs and Ning networks in the classroom.

This issue features gardening. The Classroom Activities section provides a gardening grammar game and other similar activities. The academic articles are about content-based instruction, approaches to language learning technologies, building fluency through Repeated Reading, and an "Eyes on English" campaign.

The last hobby featured this year is bowling. Three Classroom Activities with a bowling theme and a "Tenpins" puzzle round out this theme. Articles by contributors examine the topics of yoga in the English language classroom, rock and roll English teaching, using letters to tell stories, and encouraging students to express their opinions.
