Grants Division

The mission of the Grants Division (ECA-IIP/EX/G) is to effectively plan, direct, and execute by grant or cooperative agreement, or other appropriate means, assistance instruments for the Department's educational and cultural exchange programs. The Department's agreements support academic, cultural and professional exchange and training programs as a means of seeking mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries and to promote the free exchange of information and ideas.

Our Grants Management team is responsible for the efficient administration and close-out of assistance agreements, monitoring the performance and reporting of recipient organizations, and following up on audit recommendations. Our team stresses compliance with all applicable federal grant regulations and requirements and providing excellent service to our customers.

For information on grant funding opportunities, please visit the bureau's list of open Requests for Grant Proposals (RFGPs). Bureau RFGPs are published, normally on Thursdays, in the Federal Register. This list does not replace the Federal Register as the most up-to-date source for Bureau RFGPs, but is an additional source of information about any RFGP.

We welcome your comments on this site and the work of the Grants Division.
