 U.S. Higher Education Delegation to Brazil and Chile

U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Farrell will lead a high profile delegation of U.S. college and university presidents to Chile and Brazil, August 18-24, 2007. Through meetings with students and leaders in higher education, government, and business, the delegation will promote the quality, dynamism, and diversity of U.S. higher education as well as Americans’ desire to expand educational partnerships with Chileans and Brazilians. The delegation will carry the message that the U.S. welcomes and values international students who want to study in the United States, and highlight the importance of international education strengthening U.S.- Chile and U.S. Brazil ties.
