Janet Parker participated in the U.S.-Argentina Educational Seminar Exchange program for school principals. She hosted her counterpart, Viviana Allegri, for three weeks in Williamsburg, Virginia., and paid a reciprocal visit to Viviana's school in Santa Fe, Argentina. Janet and Vivianna participated in seminars on U.S. education and educational leadership in Washington, D.C. and Buenos Aires, and shared strategies for bilingual education, ways to improve student achievement, and innovation in school management. As part of an alumni grant, students and teachers in Williamsburg and Santa Fe practiced their English and Spanish language skills with each other through Skype and e-mail correspondence. The alumni grant also provided English language books and educational materials for the school in Argentina.
