American Basketball Stars Blog from Lebanon
Donna Orender, President of the WNBA, Rolando Blackman, NBA Legend, and current WNBA Player, Ebony Hoffman, travel to four cities in Lebanon to teach basketball and life skills to 750 Lebanese players and coaches from October 20 – October 24. The clinics afford the Lebanese participants an opportunity to learn how involvement in sports prepares an individual for future challenges as well as teaching the importance of teamwork, tolerance and respect for diversity.

Basketball Coaches from Tanzania Share Their Views of the U.S. from On and Off the Court
Nineteen basketball coaches from Tanzania will visit Washington, DC and San Antonio, Texas from September 20 to October 11, 2009. The coaches will have workshops and interactive sessions with athletes and coaches from schools, universities and other organizations. In Texas, they will be hosted by Matt Bonner of the San Antonio Spurs, who traveled to Tanzania in 2008 a Sports Envoy.

A delegation of baseball-playing youth from Taiwan are visiting Washington, D.C. and Chicago, Il from September 21-October 2, 2009. The six boys and four girls are 13-15 years old, and along with their two coaches will be visiting schools, playing baseball with other athletes their age, and seeing Major League Baseball games.
