Though each program has its own eligibility criteria, all youth participants must be high school students between the ages of 15-17, with at least one semester of school remaining after program participation.

 

The recruitment for most AYLP programs is targeted at small and specific groups—a particular school district, city, or community. This means that you may not qualify to apply for all of the programs. Please look at the eligibility criteria closely before applying.

 

Adult participants may be teachers, trainers, school administrators, and/or community leaders who work with youth; they will have the role of exchange participant, chaperone, and post-exchange mentor.
