The Indonesia-U.S. Youth Leadership engages high school students and educators from Indonesia and the U.S. in 3-week exchange programs. During the exchanges, participants learn about local government and community service, develop leadership and cross-cultural dialogue skills, and stay with local host families. After the exchange, alumni implement service projects in their home communities. The program is administered through a cooperative agreement with Legacy International. In July 2012, 7 American participants travelled to Indonesia for an exchange program.
