Next Level

Next Level is a new and exciting initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to use a collaboration of current music, spoken word, dance, and film to foster cross-cultural creative expression, understanding, and conflict resolution in younger audiences in underserved communities overseas, and to support the professional development of artists in those communities.

Community Engagement through the Arts

Community Engagement through the Arts uses mural arts as a means for engaging youth, artists, and underserved community members in overseas communities in South and Central America and Africa to advance U.S. foreign policy.

American Arts Incubator

American Arts Incubator uses new media and/or mural arts as a means for engaging youth, artists, and underserved community members in overseas communities in Asia to advance U.S. foreign policy by addressing a local community issue, such as women’s empowerment, HIV-AIDS prevention, social inclusion, conflict resolution, and the environment.

Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship

The Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship is a new component of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program that provides opportunities for U.S. citizens to participate in an academic year of overseas travel and digital storytelling in up to three countries on a globally significant social or environmental topic.

Museums Connect (formerly known as Museums & Community Collaborations Abroad) is designed to strengthen connections between people in the United States and abroad through museum-based exchanges.

Critical Language Enhancement Award

The Critical Language Enhancement Award (CLEA) is a feature of the U.S. Student Fulbright Program, which provides an opportunity for some Fulbright U.S. Student grantees to receive typically from three to six months of intensive language study as an enhancement to their Fulbright grants.

Fulbright Travel-Only Grants
