State Department Alumni Practice Permaculture in Malawi
Betty Chinyamunyamu visited the United States in 2005 as an International Visitor Leadership Program participant. On her exchange program, Betty observed sustainable crop production in South Carolina. After returning to her native Malawi, she worked with the Malawi-U.S. Exchange Alumni Association to implement a sustainable farming project in several local communities.
