The goal of the U.S. Department of State is to ensure that all youth exchange participants that it sponsors have a positive, safe, and memorable experience in the United States.

Your local and regional placement organization representatives are available at any time to speak with you if you have a problem or concern.  They are your first line of contact and are there to help you, so please stay in close contact with them.

If you are ever concerned about your own safety, please call the toll-free U.S. State Department phone number (1-866-283-9090) immediately.  This number is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if you need it.

You also may write us at anytime to report concerns you have about your program.

Private Sector Exchange Students, write to us at jvisas@state.gov.
