Alumni attend a leadership seminar

Once A-SMYLE students return home they become part of the alumni community. They have an opportunity to use their knowledge, skills and attitudes gained during their time in the U.S. to implement projects in their local communities. Projects may focus on improving student involvement in schools, fostering the spirit of volunteerism in their communities by organizing service activities to address community needs, and sharing information on issues important to youth.

As a group, A-SMYLE alumni have assisted the U.S. Embassy at the Belgrade Book Fair, carried out community projects for International Volunteer Day, and given many formal and informal presentations about their experiences in the U.S.
