Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program

The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program provides scholarships to high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one academic year in the United States. During the program, YES students live with American host families and are enrolled in accredited U.S. high schools.

Hosting opportunities:

If you are a family in the United States and are interested in hosting a YES student or you are a teacher or school administrator and would like your school to host, visit YESprograms.org for more information.

Eligibility and application requirements:

If you are a high school student (between 15 and 17 years old) from one of the countries or territories listed below and are interested in applying to study in the United States, please click on your country for more information about eligibility requirements and application deadlines.

YES supports students with disabilities and encourages their participation. Since 2003, ECA has worked with Mobility International USA (MIUSA) to provide students with disabilities with leadership-building workshops and resources and support that enhances their year in the United States.
