As the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approaches, State Department and U.S. Embassy Brasilia focused its Sports Visitor program on people with disabilities. In October, the program brought 16 Brazilian sports professionals to the United States to learn best practices for serving, educating, and including people of all ages with physical and cognitive disabilities in sports.
