1. Secretary’s International Women of Courage Award and Exchange Program

   The annual Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award honors women around the globe who have exemplified exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for human rights, women’s equality, and social progress, often at great personal risk.

2. African Women's Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP)

   Through the AWEP exchange, approximately 40 African women entrepreneurs each year attend professional development meetings and network with U.S. policy makers, companies and industry associations, non-profit groups, and development organizations.

3. Community College Initiative Program

   The Community College Initiative (CCI) Program provides a quality academic program at U.S. community colleges intended to build technical skills, enhance leadership capabilities, and strengthen English language proficiency.

4. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

   The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program provides 10 months of professional enrichment and non-degree graduate-level study in the United States for accomplished mid-level professionals.

5. Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange

   The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) program provides year-long academic, homestay, and community service opportunities for American and German high school students, vocational school graduates, and young professionals.

6. Benjamin Franklin Summer Institutes

   The Benjamin Franklin Summer Institutes are intensive academic institutes hosted by a U.S. college or university.

7. Future Leaders Exchange

   The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program provides scholarships for high school students (ages 15-17) from Europe and Eurasia to spend an academic year in the United States, living with a family and attending an American high school.

8. Jóvenes en Acción (Youth In Action)

   The Jóvenes en Acción (Youth in Action) Program provides high school students from Mexico the opportunity to spend one month in the United States to build leadership, communication, English language, and community engagement skills.

9. Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange & Study (YES)

   The YES program allows students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one U.S. academic year.

10. Emerging Young Leaders Award and Exchange Program

    The Emerging Young Leaders Award will be granted to ten outstanding young leaders from across the globe. The awardees will visit the United States for an intensive three-week program designed to recognize and support their efforts to enact positive societal transformation.
