We are pleased to announce Madina Arapova, a World Link placed FLEX Student from Kazakhstan, hosted in California, as the February 2018 Student of the Month.
Only two months into her exchange year, World Link-placed FLEX Student, Aiganym Khamitkhanova (Kazakhstan/CO), has already received one of her high school’s highest honors, volunteered 60 service hours, and taught her French Class about Kazakh traditions, holidays and language.
Kazakh high schooler Symbat clocked over 100 hours of community service during her exchange, maintains a high GPA on the honor roll, joined the school band, and plays on the basketball team.
In addition to being a stellar student and volunteer, Dana from Kazakhstan has shown her commitment to sharing her culture by giving 20 presentations since her arrival.
Yerasyl Toleugazimov, a citizen of Kazakhstan, spent his junior year of high school in Lacey and summarized his experience saying, "I learned new things that changed me."
