The Impact of a Fellow

The Impact of a Fellow #EnglishForAll

The English Language Fellow Program is a U.S. Department of State public diplomacy initiative that sends talented, highly qualified U.S. TESOL professionals to work at academic institutions around the world. Through projects set up by U.S. Embassies, Fellows work directly with local teachers, students, and education professionals. They support meaningful and sustainable changes that impact English language teaching and learning abroad, as well as promote mutual understanding between their host country and the United States. Since 1969, the English Language Fellow Program has sent thousands of educators to countries around the world for 10-month assignments in more than 80 countries in Africa, the Americas, East Asia and the Pacific, Eurasia, South Asia, and the Middle East.

In this video, watch former and current participants of the program describe the incredible impact Fellows have on communities abroad and in the United States.
