Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program

FLEX student Yerassyl Toleugazinov.

The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program gives students (ages 15-17) the chance to live with a host family and attend a U.S. high school for a year.

Eligibility:

To apply, you must be 15-17 and from one of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Ukraine.

Application:

To apply, contact American Councils, which supervises the application process.

Enrichment Activities:

Besides attending high school, FLEX students have the opportunity take part in enrichment activities, including a civic education workshop and the alumni grant program.

The Independence Skills Training and the Leadership Reentry Workshop help disabled students transition into American life and readjust to their home countries after the program.
