English Language Specialist Program

Travel and Living Arrangements

For in-country projects, English Language Specialists receive round-trip economy class international airfare; an honorarium of $250 a day for all working and program-related travel days; enrollment in health benefit plan; food, lodging, and local transport while in the host country; and reimbursement for certain expenses related to international travel (ex: entrance visa).

For virtual projects, English Language Specialists receive an hourly stipend of $50 during the virtual activity dates.

Additional project benefits may include preparation days; allowance for books and materials; and an allowance for miscellaneous expenses.

Specialists enjoy professional benefits such as membership in the English Language Programs online Community of Practice, with access to resources, discussions, online webinar events including Specialist Master Classes, and numerous networking opportunities among current participants and alumni.
