3. International Visitor Leadership Program 70th Anniversary in 2011

   

   In 2011, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) celebrated its 70th birthday as the U.S. Department of State's premier professional exchange program.

4. Entrepreneurship, Creating Global Links

   

   The IVLP program, “Entrepreneurship as the Engine of Prosperity and Stability,” brings seven International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) groups to participate in this professional exchange which aims to promote small business development, innovation, and entrepreneurial acumen as paths to socio-economic wellbeing and political stability.

5. Rebuilding a Georgian City

   Charlie Bush felt energized when he learned of his acceptance into the ECA Legislative Fellow Program. Charlie, a City Administrator, would be leaving the U.S. and traveling to the Republic of Georgia to exchange ideas on democracy and political participation.

6. Standing Together for Human Rights

   Daman helped set up the summer 2011 program for the first two delegations of Afghans participating in the ECA U.S./Afghan Professional Partnership.

   "Some boys ran up to me and asked why I was doing this," says Filip. "I explained that I had clean parks and places to play in and for one day I wanted them to have a place like that as well."
