The Congress-Bundestag Vocational Youth Exchange Program offers graduating high school seniors the opportunity to live with a German host family, participate in a training or school program, and gain experience working abroad through an internship with a German company.

Program Length

1 year

Eligibility and Application Overview

Public applications are accepted.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a U.S. citizen and:

  • Aged 18-19;
  • Have a 2.5 academic and/or vocational grade point average;
  • Graduate from high school in January or June;
  • Receive a strong recommendation from their school; and
  • Demonstrate leadership ability.
