1. A Step Towards World Peace

2. Mastering Language, Translating Culture

   Georgia native Evangelista traveled to Suzhou, China during the summer of 2012 to study Chinese as a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) participant.

3. Discovering Chinese Culture through Music

   Vanessa studied Chinese the summer of 2012 in Suzhou, China as a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) participant and was introduced to a whole new world.

4. My Extended Minnesota Family

   Fahmida Zaman sometimes missed her family in Bangladesh during her Global Undergraduate Exchange Program experience. She spent the better part of 2012 at St. Catherine University in Minnesota, well removed from her home. But, she is thankful for the connections she made with professors, her “friendship family,” American and international students, and one very memorable meeting with another Bangladeshi.

5. FLEX Student of the Month – October 2014

   In addition to joining six clubs since the start of the school year, Kamila has volunteered over 50 hours in her host community, calling helping people the "main goal" in her life.

6. A-SMYLE Student of the Month – October 2015

   Nermina, a CIEE placed American Serbia and Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange (A-SMYLE) student from Montenegro, is an exceptional student, volunteer, and host daughter enjoying her exchange year with a smile on her face and ambition in her heart.

7. Picturing America: An Exposition of Intercultural Exchange

   The English Language Fellow Program partnered with high school students in Mexico to showcase American culture through a vibrant presentation of artwork.

8. Not a Year of Life, But Life in a Year

   Zulfiqar (Zulfi) Sheth credits his Community College Initiative (CCI) Program for helping him to excel after returning to India as a student and as a delegate to international youth forums addressing global concerns.

9. American Abroad Student of the Month - February 2017

   Ariadna started a debate team at her host school in Amman, Jordan and takes cooking classes with her host mother on the weekends.

    The Online Professional English Network (OPEN) Program offers foreign English teaching professionals the opportunity to the opportunity to take innovative, online university-level classes.
