Working with the Embassy in Riyadh and the consulate in Jeddah, the U.S. State Department brought over six female teenage basketball players and two coaches for a two-week program. The girls participated in clinics with other American high school and college athletes. Working with the NBA, the U.S. State Department invited two former Sports Envoys – Lynette Woodard and Ruthie Bolton –to work with these young athletes, as a follow-up to their 2008 trip to Jeddah.
