In April 2013, participants of WEAmericas took part in the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) annual exchange and traveled to the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. The thirteen Latin American women business owners met with organizations like the Cherie Blair Foundation and Wal-Mart Foundation, as well as local businesses and organizations. The women discussed market expansion of their businesses via funding available from universities, corporations, businesses, and private sector associations.
