The U.S. State Department, partnering with the Little League World Series and Ripken Baseball, brought Japanese baseball players and coaches from Japan’s disaster-affected prefectures to the United States from August 8-23, 2011. The delegation met with Secretary Clinton and Cal Ripken, Jr. at the U.S. Department of State and played with American baseball and softball players their own age.
