Japanese Baseball Delegation Visits the U.S. The U.S. State Department, partnering with the Little League World Series and Ripken Baseball, brought Japanese baseball players and coaches from Japan’s disaster-affected prefectures to the United States from August 8-23, 2011. South African Basketball Coaches Come to the U.S. From March 8 to 19, 2012, South African coaches met with U.S. sports professionals, held clinics with young American athletes at local schools, participated in an NBA clinic, and engaged in activities focused on team-building and injury prevention in the Washington, D.C., area.
