   The YES program allows students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one U.S. academic year.

2. J-1 Visa Summer Work Travel Program

   College and University students enrolled full time and pursuing studies at post-secondary accredited academic institutions located outside the United States come to the United States to share their culture and ideas with people of the United States through temporary work and travel opportunities.

3. Future Leaders Exchange - Program Details

   The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program provides scholarships for high school students (ages 15-17) from Europe and Eurasia to spend an academic year in the United States, living with a family and attending an American high school.

4. Empowering Women and Girls through Sports: When Final Four Is Only the Start

   

   On April 6, the first annual UN International Day of Sport for Development and Peace synced with the midpoint of the U.S. Department of State's 2014 NCAA Women’s Final Four Basketball Program, a flagship multi-nation sports visitor program, administered under the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ Empowering Women and Girls through Sports Initiative.

   The University of Montana conducted a two-way exchange between participants from the U.S. and China to share best practices, as well as receive training in project management and development.

7. Teachers of Critical Languages Program

   The Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) brings teachers from China, Egypt and Morocco to eligible U.S. elementary and secondary schools to teach Chinese and Arabic for an academic year.

   The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) provides a foundation of English language skills to bright, economically disadvantaged students, primarily between the ages of 13 to 20, in their home countries.

   Students from various countries study topics that include civic education, leadership development, and community service.

10. Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange

    The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) program provides year-long academic, homestay, and community service opportunities for American and German high school students, vocational school graduates, and young professionals.
