   Nadia Pak, a Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program alumna from the Kyrgyz Republic, is working with other FLEX alumni to mobilize Kyrgyzstani youth to be more active citizens.

   OneBeat, a cultural exchange program developed by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with Bang on a Can’s Found Sound Nation launches its 2018 east coast fall tour with stops in Florida, Maryland, New York, and South Carolina.

3. International Women of Courage Jestina Mukoko

   

   In March 2010 Jestina Mukoko was one of ten human rights defenders honored in the U.S. State Department's International Women of Courage Awards, she returned as an alumni in 2016.

   Listen to the story of several women from the 2014 Fortune / U.S. State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership. The program connects talented, emerging women leaders from all over the world, with members of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Leaders.

5. Fortune- U.S. Department of State Global Women's Mentoring Partnership

   The Fortune-U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership is a public-private partnership that supports women’s economic, social, and political empowerment through leadership workshops and mentoring assignments for up to 25 emerging women global leaders from around the world. These emerging women leaders are mentored by U.S. executive women from Fortune’s Most Powerful Women network for a three week program.

8. Exchange Students Meet Domesticated Dogs for the First Time

   

   During their Youth Exchange and Study (YES) exchange program orientation, these students participated in a dog meet-and-greet.
