1. A-SMYLE Student of the Month – May 2015

   Milica Jovanovic, a CIEE-placed American Serbia and Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange (A-SMYLE) student from Serbia, was an active member of her host community, volunteering for over 100 hours, participating in the school musical and the swim and dive team, and holding presentations about Serbian history and culture.

2. Sister Cities’ Gainesville Chapter to Develop a Palestinian Sign Language Video Dictionary

   "Learning about another country through virtual exchange is much more exciting than reading about it in a book. I like the feeling of being present and the hands-on experience of virtual exchange".

   African Women Entrepreneurs Engaged by an Enriched Experience

   A group of African women entrepreneurs were enriched by a wealth of professional development meetings and networking opportunities during their visit to the United States.

4. April 2024 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month

   The German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce Lucy Brumfiel as the April Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) U.S. Participant of the Month!  Lucy, a CBYX High School program participant from Norwood, CO and recruited by CIEE, is hosted by the Kögel family in Dinklage, Niedersachsen.

5. Erin Vanacore Fosters Community in a Virtual Space while Building Fluency with Teachers in Mexico

   From 2020-2021, Erin Vanacore facilitated online conversation clubs for pre-service teachers and university instructors at the Normal School of the Huastecas, a regionally recognized teacher-training college, in Huejutla, Mexico.

   Being in the school play and working closely with the other student actors and directors did help me improve my Hindi skills and confidence in speaking.

   Sports Grant Provides Disability Skills Training to Coaches in Mexico

   

   The National Ability Center, in collaboration with the Departamento de Educación Especial for the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico, and UCP Wheels for Humanity in the United States conducted a multi-phased sports exchange for youth with disabilities.
