1. FLEX Celebrates 21st Year

   The Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) celebrated the end of its 21st year with approximately 168 students of this year’s 800 scholarship recipients.

2. African Women Entrepreneurs Engaged by an Enriched Experience

   A group of African women entrepreneurs were enriched by a wealth of professional development meetings and networking opportunities during their visit to the United States.

3. Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders - Eligibility & Application

   The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Since its start in 2014, the program has empowered young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking.

4. April 2024 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month

   The German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce Lucy Brumfiel as the April Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) U.S. Participant of the Month!  Lucy, a CBYX High School program participant from Norwood, CO and recruited by CIEE, is hosted by the Kögel family in Dinklage, Niedersachsen.

8. A-SMYLE Student of the Month — January 2014

   Marija Srejic, a World Link student from Serbia, eagerly seeks volunteer opportunities and has found several ways to help her host community, such as volunteering twice a week with a children’s literacy program and tutoring an elementary age student.

9. Feeding Tanzania and Growing the East African Agricultural Sector

   As CEO of the Tanzania Horticultural Association, 2012 YALI Alumna Jacqueline Mkindi works to help increase farmers’ incomes, improve food security, boost nutrition, and to grow agricultural industry to create thousands of new pre- and post-harvest jobs.

10. FLEX Student of the Month – February 2015

    Anastasiya's positive attitude, passion for volunteering, 4.0 GPA, and involvement in many clubs earns her the Future Leader Exchange program student of the month honor.
