1. From Gilman Scholar to Foreign Service Officer

   As a native Spanish speaker and world language major at CUNY Hunter College, Josh knew the best way to improve his French skills was to immerse himself in the language.

2. International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)

   Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.

3. Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program

   The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to approximately 850 foreign scholars from over 100 countries to conduct post-doctoral research at U.S. institutions from an academic semester to a full academic year.

4. Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program

   The Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program sends approximately 800 American scholars and professionals per year to approximately 130 countries, where they lecture and/or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.

6. Virtual Educators Teach, Train, and Build Lasting Global Connections

   In March 2022, English Language Programs launched a new exchange opportunity, the Virtual English Language Educator Program, an online initiative that virtually connects U.S English language teachers with educators and students across the globe.
