1. FLEX Student of the Month – May 2015

   Diana from Turkmenistan volunteered extensively in her host community, gave 15 presentations on Turkmen culture and history, excelled academically earning straight A's, acted in the school musical, and joined many clubs including the Math Club, Future Farmers of America, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.

2. Everyone Welcome, No Experience Needed

   Arts Envoy Phillip Martin recently made an impact in Kingston, Jamaica, by creating a work of art that included the entire community.

3. June 2019 CBYX German Participant of the Month

   We are happy to announce Ilayda Dogan, a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) high school participant, as the June 2019 CBYX German Participant of the Month.

4. Rebuilding a Georgian City

   Charlie Bush felt energized when he learned of his acceptance into the ECA Legislative Fellow Program. Charlie, a City Administrator, would be leaving the U.S. and traveling to the Republic of Georgia to exchange ideas on democracy and political participation.

   The African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) is a State Department initiative launched to identify and build networks of women entrepreneurs across Sub-Saharan Africa.

   The German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce Emma Kowalczyk as the January Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) U.S. Participant of the Month!  Emma, a CBYX High School program participant from Pierz, Minnesota and recruited by CIEE, is hosted by the Rahmann family in Coesfeld, North Rhine Westphalia.
