The Virtual English Language Educator Program

At-a-Glance

The Virtual English Language Educator Program offers highly qualified U.S. educators in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) a unique and completely online opportunity to support English language learning around the world, participate in public diplomacy, and build mutual connections. Virtual Educators are experienced and dedicated English language educators with a graduate degree, preferably in TESOL or a related field. Virtual Educator projects range in length from a few weeks to a semester. Projects include online English language teaching, teacher training, and cultural exchange.

The Virtual Educator Program fosters mutual understanding, promotes English language learning and enhances English teaching capacity abroad. Through projects sponsored by U.S. embassies, Virtual Educators share their professional expertise, hone their skills, gain international experience, and learn about other cultures.
