2. Featured Virtual Fellow Cecilia Jerez promotes Cultural Exchange Online in Venezuela

   Cecilia Jerez is a 2021 Virtual Fellow in Venezuela, where she has collaborated with the local embassy and American Spaces to host online lessons and events for the English Access Microscholarship Program.

3. Lessons Learned from Teaching English to Mothers of Visually-Impaired Children

   When Marquita Green accepted the fellowship for the English Language Fellow Program in Morocco, she never imagined she would have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated group of teachers and staff. Through the program, Marquita has worked at an American Language Center in Marrakech, teaching English to the mothers of blind or visually impaired children, so the mothers are able to read to their kids and help them learn.

7. American Abroad Student of the Month: March 2018

   Greta is a role model for American students abroad. She has found a way to weave her interests in community service and STEM education into her NSLI-Y experience, increasing her language proficiency and strengthening the relationships she has built with friends, teachers, and students in her host community.
