TechWomen Startup Morocco
The delegation trip, it's not a cultural exchange program. It's a double way, not just one way Not just we need to go to the U.S and get exposed to their culture and that's it? No. The program is double way and that's why I always say this is a special program, very special program.
Because it is a double way, we go there and learn about their culture, and also they come to the Middle East and they learn about our culture.
On our trip to Morocco we were able to go to a tech park, and a Technopolis and a University. In all of these places we spoke with women about what they're doing in technology in Morocco. At every juncture the women there were exceptional. It was a great opportunity for the Americans but also for the emerging leaders that were with us to really experience women in the workforce in Morocco.
I know now that I'm a part of a community, a positive encouraging community which is very, you will feel secured and you will feel empowered and feel happy to be a part of it.
If you think that you have a lot to give, if you think there is so much things that you don't know about or if you think that it should be, it must be easier than I am thinking right now, or simply you are into technology or STEM field you should apply to TechWomen.
I knew it was also going to help my own self development you know, self improvement because crossing borders and coming out here and now meeting Emerging Leaders from different cultures has been like a catharsis to me in some ways because you learn and correct yourself in many ways and understanding other people better.
Applying to TechWomen is for me that was an experience that changed my life, that strengthened my personality and make me courage to do many things that I have never thought of doing.
You should do the program because it will be just a time where you have to take, it makes you think about your career, and also the cultural exchange and even with American mentors also with other Emerging Leaders from the region. It is very interesting to know, because we discover each other through the program also.
