Since day one of her program year, Jenesis has demonstrated the qualities of an exemplary exchange student while studying in Skopje, Macedonia.

Christina Carrington, a Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Abroad Program (YES Abroad) participant is the U.S. Department of State’s December 2017 American Abroad Student of the Month. From Kansas and a graduate of Washburn Rural High School, Christina is currently studying in Skopje, Macedonia.

Dana Slayton, a National Security Language Initiative Youth (NSLI-Y) program participant, is the October 2017 American Abroad Student of the Month.

Known for his spirit of service, positive attitude, maturity and great sense of humor, Ben has been a joy to his host family and academic community in Sarajevo as a YES Abroad student and is a a true youth ambassador.
