Valentin, an A-SMYLE student from Serbia, has made a great impression on his host family, school, and community. To help his host community after a severe thunderstorm Valentin helped in the town’s cleanup efforts and is organizing a group to clean up the local POW/MIA Park. He is a campaign volunteer for the upcoming election and has had the privilege to observe a military retirement ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. He is admired by his teachers for his academic achievements, politeness and good manners. He is just one point shy of earning a perfect score in all of his classes.
In addition to his native language and English, Valentin also speaks Hungarian, German and Latin and is currently in the Spanish club. Valentin is excited about all the program experiences that are yet to come, especially attending his host school’s homecoming activities with "the prettiest girl in the sophomore class."
