   U.S. Department of State Hosts Series of Career Readiness Workshops for Gilman Alumni

   The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ USA Study Abroad branch will host a series of career readiness workshops for approximately 150 alumni of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program over the next two weeks.

2. Tony Sanneh and Kate Markgraf Travel to Ethiopia

   

   In coordination with US Soccer, the State Department sent former soccer stars Tony Sanneh and Kate Markgraf to Ethiopia.

5. Kennedy-Lugar YES Program

   

   The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program provides scholarships to high school students.

6. FLEX Student of the Month – March 2014

   Gulnar Resulkulyyeva, a World Link FLEX student from Turkmenistan, is a proven leader and dynamic FLEX ambassador. In addition to her over 200 hours of community service thus far, Gulnar is a member of the Key Club, Green Club, and Spanish Club and recently earned a spot on the varsity track team.

7. FLEX Student of the Month – January 2015

   In addition to being a stellar student and volunteer, Dana from Kazakhstan has shown her commitment to sharing her culture by giving 20 presentations since her arrival.

8. EducationUSA Academy

   EducationUSA Academy is a two-to-four week academic program which provides college preparatory content including specialized courses in various fields, English and academic writing courses, tours of diverse college and university campuses, and cultural activities to 15- to 17-year old, mostly self-funded students from around the world.

10. FLEX Student of the Month – December 2015
