2. April 2023 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month

   We are pleased to announce Kristian Nelsen as the April 2023 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month! Kristian, a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) High School participant recruited by YFU, is hosted by the Martschewski family in Riesa, Saxony.

4. November 2023 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month

   The German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce Lillian Woodward as the November Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) U.S. Participant of the Month! Lillian, a CBYX High School program participant from Ringoes, New Jersey and recruited by AFS, is hosted by the Palmy family in Butzbach, Hesse.

6. Learn Arabic in Morocco!

   

   Kalyn and Nathan, National Security Language Initiative for Youth students in Marrakech, Morocco, describe how their experiences learning Arabic in the classroom, speaking with locals in the country's native language, and making personal connections with the people they meet have positively impacted and enriched their lives.

7. Sports Visitor Program

   Young non-elite athletes and coaches chosen by U.S. missions overseas to visit the United States for a fast-paced two week exchange program.

8. American Swimmers Travel to Russia

   

   The State Department had two concurrent bilateral sports exchange programs with Russia in the summer of 2012.

9. Empowering Women & Girls Through Sports

   

   In the midst of the NCAA's March Madness, the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announced an international sports exchange that brought 18 teenage girl athletes and 6 female coaches from all corners of the globe to Washington, D.C., and Denver, Colorado as part of the Empowering Women and Girls Through Sports Initiative.

10. Using Music and Conversation to Reach Students on the Black Sea

    David, an English Language Fellow at the National Technical University in Sevastopol, Ukraine teaches English to international students, helping them to “be critical, creative, and compassionate global citizens.”
