   The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to approximately 850 foreign scholars from over 100 countries to conduct post-doctoral research at U.S. institutions from an academic semester to a full academic year.

   Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is the U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. The YSEALI Professional Fellows Program is a professional development exchange program for the best and brightest community leaders from ASEAN, working in the fields of civic engagement, NGO management, economic empowerment, governance, legislative process, environmental and natural resources management.

4. Karissa Cuffy Expands Career Opportunities for Venezuelan Migrants in Trinidad and Tobago through Virtual Instruction

   Karissa Cuffy provides online English instruction and workforce development support to Venezuelans in vulnerable conditions living in Trinidad and Tobago.

5. Virtual Educators Teach, Train, and Build Lasting Global Connections

   In March 2022, English Language Programs launched a new exchange opportunity, the Virtual English Language Educator Program, an online initiative that virtually connects U.S English language teachers with educators and students across the globe.

6. Erin Vanacore Fosters Community in a Virtual Space while Building Fluency with Teachers in Mexico

   From 2020-2021, Erin Vanacore facilitated online conversation clubs for pre-service teachers and university instructors at the Normal School of the Huastecas, a regionally recognized teacher-training college, in Huejutla, Mexico.

7. Featured Virtual Fellow Cecilia Jerez promotes Cultural Exchange Online in Venezuela

   Cecilia Jerez is a 2021 Virtual Fellow in Venezuela, where she has collaborated with the local embassy and American Spaces to host online lessons and events for the English Access Microscholarship Program.

8. A-SMYLE Student of the Month – April 2014

   Mina Vukosavljevic, a CIEE A-SMYLE student from Serbia, is a dynamic role model and A-SMYLE youth ambassador, performing over 100 hours of community service and attending workshops to help teach English in her home country.

   State Department Sports Program Helps Young People with Disabilities in China

   

   Professionals from Mobility International USA, through a Sports Grant traveled to China to help young people with disabilities there become more involved in sports and to increase their self-confidence and involvement in the larger community.
