1. American Abroad Student of the Month – November 2014

   National Security Language Initiative for Youth participant Sam Christensen volunteers teaching English at the local primary school in Changzhou, China while improving his Mandarin language skills.

   EducationUSA Academy is a two-to-four week academic program which provides college preparatory content including specialized courses in various fields, English and academic writing courses, tours of diverse college and university campuses, and cultural activities to 15- to 17-year old, mostly self-funded students from around the world.

4. Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)

   The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (also known as the Global UGRAD Program) provides one semester scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students from around the world for non-degree full-time study combined with community service, professional development and cultural enrichment.

5. Turkmenistan Participant Connects with Disabilities Organizations

   In his home country of Turkmenistan, Ibragim Nurjanov has been a tireless advocate for the well-being of people with disabilities, both as a sports trainer and as a participant in the Democracy Commission. As such, he was a natural candidate for an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on the topic of “Promoting Disability Rights.”
