   We are pleased to announce Samiya Id-Lefqih as the January 2024 CBYX German Participant of the Month!  Samiya, a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) High School program participant placed by AFS, is hosted by the Warren family in Bothell, Washington.   

2. October 2024 CBYX German Participant of the Month

   We are pleased to announce Elissa Ben Salem as the October 2024 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) German Participant of the Month!  Elissa, a CBYX high school program participant placed by CIEE, is hosted by the Benski family in Meridian, Idaho.

   We are pleased to announce Magdalena (“Magda”) Jobst as the November 2024 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) German Participant of the Month!

4. January 2025 CBYX U.S. Participant of the Month

   The German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce Jose Cruz as the January 2025 Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) U.S. Participant of the Month! Jose, a CBYX High School program participant from Laredo, Texas and recruited by CIEE, is hosted by the Schmittner Family in Wiehl, North-Rhine Westphalia.

6. Women's World Cup Initiative: Empowering Women and Girls Through Sports

   

   Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke about the power of sports in contributing the the empowerment of women and girls from around the world.

7. Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute Alumnus Reflects on His Fellowship

   

   Daniel Voda, a 2010 BFTF Alumnus from Moldova, reflects on his experience at the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellows Summer Institute.

8. FLEX Student of the Month — December 2013

   Tatia Rtveladze, an ASSE student from Georgia and active volunteer in her host community, gave nine presentations, including performances of Georgian folk dances, during International Educational Week (IEW).

9. A-SMYLE Student of the Month — February 2013

   Jelena is an honor student, speaks fluent Italian, and is a member of the varsity volleyball team and student council.

10. FLEX Student of the Month – February 2014

    Gavharkhon is not only an excellent student but a talented singer as well, participating in her school choir and singing in local community events in Tajik and in English.
